The EHL Team began the 2025 portion of the season over the weekend on the road against Philadelphia Hockey Club. The Premier Team will start the second half this weekend.

EHL vs Philadelphia HC

Late in the first period, Schaeffer fed the puck to Damon Warren for his 15th goal of the season and a 1-0 lead. Philadelphia tied the game in the 2nd period. Early 3rd, PHC took the lead. Late in the game the Huntsmen were still trailing. Goaltender Alex Illus was pulled for the extra skater, and the Huntsmen had an offensive zone face off. After the draw, Warren took a shot that went behind the net, but Edward Mirigliano was on the other side, and he tied the game 2-2 with less than a minute remaining. In overtime, Philadelphia scored and won the game 3-2.

The Huntsmen will remain on the road this week as they travel for a two-game series against the New York Applecore. They are last in the Central Division with a 3-22-2 record. Despite a lengthy losing streak, they won their first game back from break 3-2 over the Philadelphia Little Flyers on Monday. The Huntsmen are 1-0 against the Applecore with a dominating 9-1 win back in mid-December. The leading scorers for the Applecore are Tyler Gobel (10G 16A), Evan Manna (9G 9A), Braedon Gallante (9G 9A), and Gage Winter (8G 8A).

               Premier

The second half for the Huntsmen starts with a busy weekend with three games in three days. First, they’ll be on the road against the Union Jr. Thunder. The Huntsmen are 2-0 vs the Thunder this year and will face them 5 times in the second half. Both wins for the Huntsmen were by scores of 4-3, one of them was via the shootout. The Thunder are coming off a loss to the New Jersey Bears 4-1. The Huntsmen return home to face the New Jersey Bears and the New Jersey Renegades. The Huntsmen are currently 9-13-1, 4th in the South Division. The Thunder are just ahead of the Huntsmen at 11-10-1, and right behind PA are the New Jersey Renegades 8-11-2.
