After the Showcase in New Hampshire, the Huntsmen were back in action against their top rival, the New Jersey 87s. The games are getting more and more important, especially the ones vs the 87s with the top spot in the division at stake.

It was not an ideal start for the Huntsmen. Six minutes into the game, PA found themselves down 3-0, and starting goaltender Ty Jones was benched. Derek Baradgie came into the game for Jones. The Huntsmen would answer back as Finkeldey, from behind the net, would send a great feed to the slot for Jaeger Daniels to make it a 3-1 game. Just when PA would gain a little momentum, the 87s would take it right back and score about a minute and a half later. The Huntsmen would keep fighting and Reese Gilmore would battle his way to the net ending a wild 1st period with PA trailing 4-2. The Huntsmen would pull within one on the rush as Cabral-Downs would setup Ryan Arendes to make it a 4-3 game. Unfortunately, that would be as close as the Huntsmen would get. The 87s would add a goal late in the 2nd, and then pour it on with 3 goals in the 3rd period and cruise to an 8-3 victory

This weekend is jammed packed for the Huntsmen, as they will have 3 games in 3 days. Also, for the first time since November 27th, the Huntsmen will be on home ice. On Friday, the road trip ends against the New Jersey Renegades. The Renegades won the last meeting 5-4, the season series belongs to the Huntsmen 4-1. New Jersey comes in on a 2 game win streak after defeating the Union Jr. Thunder 5-0, and the Little Flyers 3-2. On Saturday, the Huntsmen finally return home and take on the Philadelphia Little Flyers. They lost the last meeting against them by a score of 5-2, but the overall series is 4-1. On Sunday, the Huntsmen will take on the Renegades again, but it will be at Power Play.
